Company Background

Lewis International Bearing Co Pty Ltd is a wholly Australian-owned company that was established in 1963 by Russell Lewis. The company was formed to fulfil a supply gap in the Australian Wholesale Bearing Industry, and to meet the expanding demand of the growing Australian manufacturing and mining sectors.

The success of the business outgrew the original premises in Preston, and Lewis International Bearing Co Pty Ltd relocated to a new and larger site at Thomastown in 1985. The expansion of the business throughout Australia and into International Markets and a wider range of stock required more floor space and adjacent facilities were purchased in 1996. The new premises have also allowed for the introduction of modern storage and inventory control to provide for even better service and turnaround times for customers. To achieve this Lewis International Bearing Co Pty Ltd has established and maintains an effective and efficient Quality Management System, that is based on the requirements of AS/NZ ISO 9001:2000.

Lewis International Bearing Co Pty Ltd have established an extensive inventory, and a network of local and international contacts and suppliers in the bearing industry. Together with a staff of experienced managers and sales personnel, Lewis International Bearing Co Pty Ltd can provide its customers with excellent service and a wide range of products.

Trading Terms

Australia

All prices quoted are nett 30 days; ex warehouse for approved account customers.Stock available to wholesale bearing companies only. We do not sell retail or direct to end user. ABN number must be quoted on all paperwork. For orders up to 5kg we can offer airbag service at competitive rates.

International

All prices quoted are nett; ex warehouse in AUD. Exchange rate are set at time of purchase. We are able to quote competitive airfreight rates, at customer cost if required. PAYMENT; by irrevocable letter of credit, sight draft or by direct telegraphic transfer to our nominated bank prior to despatch.
